Shah Rukh Khan‘s all-time blockbuster Pathaan is all set to release in Bangladesh theatres on May 12 and the Siddharth Anand directorial has already registered housefull opening in cinemas.
Ananya Mamun, an official from the movie’s importing company Action-Cut Entertainment, has revealed that Pathaan is releasing in 41 cinema halls across the country with 198 shows every day. She added that tickets of the first two days have already been sold out even before the release.
The Bangladesh Film Censor Board on Thursday gave clearance to Pathaan after viewing the film. Earlier this year, the country’s government approved the import of films from the Indian sub continent with certain conditions after lifting the ban to protect the local movie industry.

A few days ago, Nelson D’Souza, Vice President of International Distribution at YRF, had mentioned that Pathaan will be the first Hindi film to release in Bangladesh since the country attained freedom in 1971. He had also expressed his excitement that Pathaan will now get a chance to entertain audiences in the country.
Pathaan, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the fourth film in producer Aditya Chopra‘s spy universe, following Salman Khan‘s Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai and War featuring Hrithik Roshan.
