Sohail Khan recently gave us tidbits about his next directorial venture. The actor-filmmaker was spotted at the opening of Yasmin Karachiwala’s brand new Pilates studio in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai and had lots to say to the media who were asking him curious questions about his next projects.
Yasmin Karachiwala is well-known as a Pilates and Yoga teacher to many Bollywood celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. Sohail was all praise for Yasmin’s teaching methods and said that he completely trusted her as the Yoga instructor and he would send his parents to her for Yoga. He said that even his father, Salim Khan considers Pilates to be an extension of Yoga. Sohail stated, “Agar main apne budhe maa-baap ko kisi ke saath trust kar sakta hoon, toh woh hain Yasmin Karachiwala.”
About donning the director’s hat again, Sohail explained that he is planning a major action thriller film. When asked about whether Salman Khan will play the lead role, he clarified that it is very much what he prefers and that Salman is always the first choice for his films. However, Salman is also a true professional and only if he likes the role and the script will he consider the offer and eventually take up the film.
In Sohail’s words, “First choice toh wahi hoti hai ke bhai ke paas jaaye. Woh suitable bhi hona chahiye bhai ke liye. Bhai hai, lekin professional hai. Like or not like, woh unke upar hain.”
Sohail and Salman Khan have worked together on films, including Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, Hello Brother and Jai Ho. His last directorial venture was the 2016 film, Freaky Ali which had Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role, along with Arbaaz Khan and Amy Jackson. Salman Khan was recently seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
