How much will David Beckham’s ‘golden boots’ fetch at December 5 auction?

David Beckham’s, one of the most iconic footballers to ever play the game, famed “golden boots” are set to go for auction on December 5, reported as.com.

Beckham — one of the most prolific crossers of the ball — who donned jerseys of some of the world’s most notable clubs with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain, was given a special pair of golden boots to commemorate his 100th appearance for England during the national side’s friendly match against France on March 26, 2008.

During the match, he wore the iconic “Golden Adidas Predators,” which were specially manufactured for the English player and had the names of his then-three children — Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz — on them.

The shoes also had St George’s Crosses along with his profile embroidered on the left shoe, reported The Sun.

The boots are set to be auctioned on December 5 by Graham Budd Auctions in Northamptonshire, UK.

The auction bid has been fixed at £4,600 ($5,798) with David Convery, head of sports memorabilia at UK-based auction house, expecting the to likely fetch £8,000 to £10,000 ($10,084 to $12,605) at the auction.

“David Beckham is not only an iconic player, but you could also argue that he started the ‘style revolution’ with this type of golden boot,” Convery told The Sun adding, “These boots are already attracting attention on a global stage and we wouldn’t be surprised if they reached or even went beyond their estimated price.”
